Piper came to the family on 22nd May 2010.

He is a Brittany Spaniel, a registered gun dog breed.  His tail is completely docked.  More information on the breed can be found here

He was we understand initially with a farmer who was going to train him as a gun dog.  He never got round to training him and let him go to a friend. However he was only there for a weekend as he did not settle with the cats they had etc.  

From here he went to FAITH  [For Animals In Trouble there’s Hope] rescue at Hickling in Norfolk where we found him.  He was there for a week before we were able to collect him.  He is four years old we understand but do not have written proof.

He is lively and enjoys chasing around.  As at mid July 2010 he has responded to all commands and does return after chasing off in the woods etc albeit after several minutes waiting.
